Vegetable Farmers Profiles in TTS and Kupang Sub-District 2018

Document extract

Through a demo plot learning in each accompanied group, YBTS transfers the vegetable planting knowledge and technology that are integrated with the soil and water conservation measures. The 3R principles (recharge, retain and reuse of water) are applied in order to overcome the main problem in the YBTS target areas, i.e. drought caused by the annual dry season from May to October/November. The program aims to build groups’ confidence to successfully planting and growing vegetables in Soe and Kupang, and also can increase their income through vegetables.
