Case study
Project brief from Cordaid Philippines who have been working with the Local Government of Guiuan at village and municipal level, farmers, fisherfolk, women’s groups, local and national organizations on integrated risk management since 2015. The approach enabled joint assessment, planning, capacity build- ing and actions to tackle risks through Integrated Risk Management
Since 2015 Cordaid has worked with farmers and shermen to protect the land and sea for food and livelihoods, supported village planning for disaster management and worked with municipal stakeholders, government, NGOs and community groups in the development of plans to cope with disaster, climate and environmental risks. In 2017 Cordaid worked with Guiuan government and local stakeholders to analyze climate risks and develop their Local Climate Change Action Plan (LCCAP).
