This report provides a consolidated summary of the Partners for Resilience programme in Kenya based on the inputs derived from 2013 annual reports of individual partners that covers community and national level achievements. Since the beginning of the implementation of the programme, there has been a growing and strengthening collaboration among the partners both at national and local levels.
Some of the activities carried out during this period are:
- The camel caravan (mobile awareness raising campaign)
- Early Warning-Early Action - information for drought and flood
- Contingency Plan and Contingency Fund as Early Action Measures in Basa
- Livelihood diversification such as support for dry land farming using green houses, distribution and plantation of cassava cuttings, value addition and marketting of honey, distribution and plantation of drought tolerant and short maturing crop, vegetable and fruit seeds, fish farming and sell of tree seedlings
- Supporting enviromental clubs in schools.
